Ready When You Are – Safe In-Person Secret Shows Return 2022

 

The health and safety of our audiences, artists, and staff is our top priority. We are committed to ensuring that you have an exceptional experience, with confidence in the policies and procedures designed for a safe environment for all. While The Jazz Exchange taking measures to enhance the safety of its visitors, artists, and staff—an inherent risk of contracting COVID-19 and other contagious diseases exists in any public space. In order to attend The Jazz Exchange Secret Shows live programming, all visitors are required to read and accept the following waiver. By purchasing tickets to a Jazz Exchange Secret Show, I agree to comply with all health and safety protocols implemented by the host and The Jazz Exchange based on applicable federal, state, and local rules and guidelines, and I agree that:

 

  • The Jazz Exchange cannot guarantee that I will not be exposed to and contract COVID-19 or other contagious diseases, and all those attending a Jazz Exchange Secret Show do so at their own risk.

  • I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 or other contagious diseases along with all related consequences. I agree that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claims, including but not limited to claims of negligence.

  • Admission to a Jazz Exchange Secret Show and any of its events is conditioned on compliance with health and safety protocols. Audiences who do not follow applicable safety protocols may be asked to leave the premises.

  • The Jazz Exchange artists, staff, and visitors have the right to an environment free from abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior. The Jazz Exchange reserves the right to remove any person acting in an unacceptable or inappropriate manner.

  • This contract will be governed by the laws of the State of New York and the laws of the location of each Secret Show. 

 

Here are a few things you need to know:

 

Identification

All attendees must present a government-issued picture ID prior to entry (passport or driver’s license).

 

Proof of Vaccination

Every guest must show a completed vaccination record authorized by the FDA. Proof of vaccination can be displayed on your smartphone. Proof of vaccination may be required at various locations and may also include a CDC Vaccination Card (or photo), NYC Vaccination Record, or an official immunization record from outside New York City or the United States.

 

Masks

All attendees are not required to wear masks but are more than welcome to wear one at your own discretion. Every host/venue will decide to have their employees wear masks. 

 

Enhanced Health and Safety Measures

Based on guidance from public health authorities such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies, The Jazz Exchange has implemented the following policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for our audiences, artists, and staff at each Secret Show: 

  • Ensure that every Secret Show has

  • Hand sanitization

  • Reduced contact ticketing (tickets are purchased in advance) 

  • Digital tickets are able to be scanned directly from your mobile device or can be downloaded on site.

 

Ticket holders who are unable to show proof of vaccination will not receive a refund.

Please note that some events/venues have their own COVID-19 protocol requirements. Because requirements vary by event, it’s important to also check the event page on the website to confirm additional details for that specific secret show.

 

Please be advised that it is the responsibility of the ticket buyer to communicate these policies to all those in their party or to whom they may be providing tickets. Guests who choose not to follow the rules will be asked to leave the venue without a ticket refund.

 

The Jazz Exchange will regularly update its COVID protocols and procedures based on CDC, federal, state, city, and other scientific data. The Jazz Exchange reserves the right to alter safety protocols at any time and at its sole discretion including but not limited to social distancing, vaccines/testing, masks, venue capacity, and entrance requirements as it deems appropriate.
